The visitors had a chance of their own five minutes later when Romano Denneboom fired over the net from Eljero Elia's left-wing cross, but the rest of the half produced little in the way of scoring opportunities.

Henrique could have put his side ahead in the 67th minute when he took advantage of a turnover and fired a shot on goal, but Boschker did well to parry the effort.

The opener arrived 10 minutes later when the Brazilian beat Boschker with a strong header from Pranjic's cross, but just when it looked like the home side would claim the maximum points, Janssen sent a rocket into the back of the net.

PSV won 2-0 against Heracles as Balazs Dzsudzsak and Danny Koevermans scored goals, Melvin Platje tallied seven minutes from time to help Volendam get a 1-1 draw at Roda, and NAC got a goal from Anthony Lurling in stoppage time to slip past NEC, 3-2.
