05/08/2010 - Minneapolis, MN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Nick Markakis went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored to help Baltimore take a 7-3 win over Minnesota in the opener of a doubleheader at Target Field.

Julio Lugo went 3-for-5 with an RBI while Cesar Izturis scored three times for the Orioles, who won the series opener on Thursday to snap a three-game slide.

Jeremy Guthrie (1-4) went 6 2/3 innings in the start and was charged with three runs on five hits with a walk and five strikeouts to grab his first win of the season.

Justin Morneau hit a two-run home run while Michael Cuddyer added a solo shot for the Twins, who had won four straight coming into the series. Francisco Liriano (4-1) was tagged for five runs on 10 hits with a walk and three strikeouts over six innings of work.

On Friday, the Twins, who spent 28 years protected from rain under the roof of the Metrodome, suffered their first rainout since 1980, at brand-new Target Field.

Minnesota jumped out to a lead in the first inning when Orlando Hudson hit a one-out single and Morneau followed with a shot over the wall in right for a 2-0 lead.

Baltimore, though, tied it in the third as Markakis hit a single with the bases loaded and two out to bring home Nolan Reimold and Izturis.

The Orioles plated two more runs in the fourth. With one out, Matt Wieters doubled and, after Garrett Atkins flied out, Reimold walked. Izturis and Lugo followed with consecutive RBI singles. Adam Jones then singled to load the bases and Markakis' one-bagger brought home another run for a 5-2 lead.

Cuddyer led off the bottom of the fourth with a solo home run to cut the deficit to 5-3.

Guthrie worked a 1-2-3 sixth inning and the Orioles padded their lead in the seventh when Markakis led off with a walk, stole second and later scored on a Ty Wigginton double for a 6-3 lead.

In the bottom of the seventh, Guthrie hit Wilson Ramos with a pitch to start the inning, but retired the next two batters before stepping aside for Will Ohman, who got Denard Span to groundout to second and end the inning.

In the eighth, the Orioles put another run on the board as Izturis walked, stole second and later scored on a Jones single for a 7-3 advantage.

Ohman stayed on for the eighth and gave up a leadoff single to Hudson, but got Morneau to foul out and Jim Thome to hit into a double play to end the inning.

Koji Uehara worked around a one-out single in the ninth to close out the game.
